Are you more of an introvert or extrovert? Personally, I've always tested as 100% extroverted.
I've always LOVED people & been fascinated by them, and I now know why I am so fulfilled as a coach. I believe it's my destiny, & even though I took the long way around to get here, I've arrived and it's the most incredible, fulfilling job I've ever had.
What I've learned in the past year is that we all were born with an innate personality, and when you are able to align the work you do with your unique gifts associated with that personality, you become truly joyful at your core.
It's because you are living authentically with who you were born to be, doing what you were meant to do.
The problem is that so many of us get sidetracked because we are trying to please others or adapt into some societal role to be accepted. It's not our fault! We do it because we are unaware it’s happening.
For me, it was all about making money, providing for my family so we had a nice house, fancy cars, and fun vacations!!!
I thought I was being authentic... But deep inside I didn't feel fulfilled and now I get why.
Now at age 61, I’m finally right where I’m supposed to be.
I had no idea that my life would unfold in this way but I’m truly grateful to my teachers, particularly Alex Paulos, who helped me "see" who I am and what I'm capable of, if I truly tapped into my innate personality.
When I read the description from my "typing" session with him, I couldn't believe how much it resonated at my core. Now it totally makes sense why I identify as "Not Your Average Grandma!"
"Many of your type can’t stand the thought of being a “nobody” without influence on the world and so a number of your type do their best to leave a legacy in one form or another. An ordinary life as “Average Joe” or “Average Joanne” doing normal things for a lifetime is never enough for you.”
If only that little girl in the picture knew her gifts & how she could use them earlier. Think how much more she could have gotten done in the world... But the bigger point is, better late than never, right?!
It's never too late to find out who you truly are... Once you do, you'll light up in ways you’ve never imagined.
