Organized Planner

You are what I call an Organized Planner and although you may feel fairly fulfilled because of all of the structure you’ve created in your life, the actions you are taking may actually be suppressing greater fulfillment in your life.
The problem many Organized Planners have is that they are planning the WRONG things! The tasks they put on their To-do lists are not the kind of tasks that fall into what I call their "spark" zone.
So that is the fulfillment struggle Organized Planners face... Could it be that you are not planning the kind of tasks that would bring more meaning and purpose into your life?!
Read on to see if you are playing the empty nester role of an Organized Planner...
The Organized Planner is always in pursuit of organization. She loves structure and therefore loves all activities around planning, like writing down all of her appointments on her calendar and creating "To Do" lists to keep her priorities straight.
She loves coming up with her plan and writing it all down. She gets satisfaction from seeing her list—especially if it is in the fresh pages of one of the new planners she's recently purchased.
She is her household planner, in control of everyone's schedules. She likes prioritizing (and reprioritizing) the tasks on her To-do list, circling the important tasks, and figuring out what action to take when.
Yet the cautionary tale here is that, often, by the time she's done beautifying her calendars and lists, she's run out of time or motivation and her productivity has plummeted!
Most of her valuable time was spent on planning and doing quick & easy tasks so she feels good about having some things checked off, but she may not have taken action on tasks that will take her to the kind of future she desires.
Maybe you are one of the rare Organized Planners who is spot on with knowing your dreams and setting exciting goals around them. And you have a super solid action plan where your day is organized with intention around specific tasks that take you closer to those dreams. (Although I'd call you more of an Organized Doer then!)
If that's you, congratulations! You ARE way more passionate than most people, and feel lit up about your future!!! Yay!
But often, the Organized Planner falls short in the dreams department. Yes, there is a plan, and it makes you feel good because it's really organized, but most of the effort put in every day is on tasks that have nothing to do with your dreams. Your main goal is simply to get tasks done, and that feels good at the moment, but at the end of the day, you feel unfulfilled.
If you are an Organized Planner, but you feel void of passion, THAT is the real problem! Productivity isn't the problem for you, but fulfillment is!!!
