This is the last Q&A Student Panel I did this week to share the results that my students have had by investing in the Second Half S.P.A.R.K. School™.
Kim and Gail are two of my students whose have turned their gifts into businesses. They are operating in the Sparked Soul role I refer to as "Difference Makers" - people who have taken what they love doing and monetized it which is the highest level of contribution and impact to the world.
Difference Makers are a rare breed, especially ones who start their businesses after entering their second half. But they are successful because they are focused on a goal that is bigger than them.
They don't let their fears or limiting beliefs get in the way. They conquer those things and commit to the process of learning, adventure and service!
I love how these two women have very different businesses and are great examples that it doesn't matter what your gift is, just that it sparks you! I'm so proud of them and what they are...
Since today the doors are opening for the Second Half S.P.A.R.K. School™ for the first time in 8 months, I wanted to share how this one-of-a-kind program came to be and why I feel it's one of the reasons I'm here - why I believe it's one of the agreements I made when I promised my creator that I'd come here, learn new lessons, share my "gifts" with others, and leave the world a better place in doing so.
I talk about:
how I took the long and winding road to finally figure this out,
The 2 things that fast-tracked my transformation, and
the big lesson-learned that really side-tracking me for several years.
If you'd like to learn more about the Second Half S.P.A.R.K. School, you can find the details here: https://secondhalfsparkschool.com
Doors will be open from Monday, 1/31/22 through Thursday, 2/3/22. If you miss it this time, doors will reopen later this year so get on the waitlist to be the first notified once the doors open again.
If you'd like to hear from some of my...
Today’s guest is Gail Johnson, and this turned out to be one of my favorite episodes! Gail is a graduate of the Second Half S.P.A.R.K. School and I’m now her business coach, guiding her in the development of her own new program.
In this interview, Gail shared some really interesting stories about her gift and the impact she wants to make through this gift. In this episode we talked about:
Gail’s program helps people who are suffering from grief and loss. And what’s amazing is that she conceived, created and launched it in 6 months! When she began talking about wanting to make a bigger impact by creating a group coaching program, she had the...
This week’s guest is another Second Half S.P.A.R.K. School™ alumni, Laura Strachan, an empty nester and a long term cancer survivor. Laura has been a very active student ever since joining SPARK School where she was able to recover her authentic self. She’s now confident, happy, reconnected with her husband and a great example for her kids.
Laura’s transformation came from one inspired action: an assignment from one of my free trainings that led to a huge shift that transformed her life. Just ONE SIMPLE ACTION that instigated more inspired actions!
Her decision that day to take action led her to getting connected with the right people and community which has given her the sparked second half she couldn’t find on her own. She’s a great example that one small decision can change everything.
As Laura and I ‘catch up’ in this episode, she openly shares:
My guest this week is Nancy Dubé, a graduate of my Second Half S.P.A.R.K. School™. I wanted to bring Nancy on and catch up on her life because it's been awhile since I had her on as a guest. I also thought she'd be a perfect guest for the topic I started the year with: living from a place of authenticity in order to have the best year of your life.
Nancy's story exemplifies what happens when you reconnect with your authentic self in the best way possible as she shows how quickly life can change once you recognize there's an issue and commit to doing something about it.
We walk back in time during this interview to when we first met and what was going on with Nancy when she first joined the Second Half S.P.A.R.K. School™.
We discuss the drastic changes she made to reconnect with her inborn personality, once she realized she was in a state of misalignment, after having a typing session with Alex Paulos who I featured in episode #181.
In this episode, we also talked...
Today I'm re-publishing one of my most popular episodes from October of 2020 because I think it's a great way to start out the year - knowing that our best life will only be lived from a place of authenticity, from who we were born to be.
In this episode I interview Alex Paulos, a personality expert and leadership coach and author of the Recognizing People, who I've gotten to know quite well since this interview was first recorded. In fact I just finished a week of 1 on 1 training with him, spending quality time learning his method.
It was truly one of the most amazing experiences of my life as I learned I have a gift of reading people that has been untapped until now. No wonder I've been fascinated with Alex's work! HINT: Let your interests be a sign that lead you to your untapped gifts.
Here's a little a background on Alex and what he does...
Alex has “cracked the code” into providing genetically-based personality assessments based on his intuitive system of...
No guest this week as I want to finish the year with a look back at the things I've learned, or that I knew theoretically but confirmed through experience!
I always like to look back because I've found the lessons that help me most are behind me, and in my past, I've been guilty of rushing forward without taking pause and reflecting on the lessons. And this year, I thought I'd do my reflecting with you!
It's a practice I preach and teach, and I've done it every month for the past 2.5 years. Doing the documenting as the year progresses certainly makes the annual reflecting process easier!
I'd love this episode to inspire you to think about the lessons you've learned in 2021. Are there any parallels in your life to the five I talked about?
In today’s episode I interview Claire Sandys, who co-hosts The Silent Why podcast with her husband Chris. Claire is an aspiring writer, blogger, Earl Grey tea drinker and lover of baked beans on toast.
I met Claire because I heard about her podcast in a podcast community and reached out to her to recommend one of my past guests as a guest for her show. In that process, I learned she’d be a good fit for Not Your Average Lives so here we are!
Claire has a touching story about losing the life that she thought she’d have: being a mom. And she openly shares her journey from an early marriage, to deciding to start a family, to finding out it was unlikely they’d get pregnant on their own, to contemplating and rejecting IVF, to contemplating and rejecting adoption, and to ultimately dealing with her own health issues that led to a hysterectomy and early menopause, before age 40..
In this episode, we talked about:
Today’s interview is with Nathania Stambouli who was on the podcast back in late June talking about how she turned her Covid crisis - her LA yoga studio shut down - into a multi 6 figure online business in less than 12 months.
Please check out Episode 128 to hear her back story, how we met, and how she’s turned her yoga business into a money machine that is now impacting thousands and allowing her to thrive doing what she does best.
I asked her to come back on the podcast because, since she first came on, I’ve joined her yoga community and experienced a week-long retreat with her in Greece, and I wanted to chat with her about it.
In this episode, we talked about:
...
In this episode, I got to chat with Michelle Glogovac who calls herself the Podcast Matchmaker. She’s also an award-winning publicist and host of the My Simplified Life podcast. After an 18 year career in corporate aviation, Michelle discovered her passion in changing the world, one voice at a time, via podcasting. She works with entrepreneurs, authors, and experts to niche down, grow their businesses, and visibility while ensuring their message reaches the masses.
In the interview, we talked about:
Michelle is a natural relationship-maker, which is why her love of helping experts be interviewed on podcasts and featured in the media is so successful. Michelle is a wife, mom of two, stepmom of two, and a fur mom. She has her...
