Episode 387: My Hottest Tip For Success On Your 2024 Resolutions

mindset Jan 14, 2024

Today I want to talk about my hottest tip for success on your 2024 resolutions and it's based on my personal experiences with setting and achieving goals.

There is ONE SURE THING I've found to be the magical component that helps me stay focused and guarantees I'll achieve a goal. I have proof of this in hitting two big goals I set that I share in this episode.

But in both instances, I didn't just achieve the goal I had set, I KILLED IT! I had more success than I thought possible and found myself accomplishing tasks and getting results I didn't know I was capable of.

I break this conversation into two parts, first talking about the tip and the 3 reasons why, if you don't apply it, you'll likely give up on the pursuit of your resolutions, and then I share how I'm using it for one of my big 2024 resolutions and how this resolution may involve you.

If you are serious about your new year's resolutions, aka goals, and you don't want to fail, this is a must-listen episode. This tip,...

Episode 386: Why New Year’s Resolutions Don’t Work!

mindset Jan 04, 2024

Can you believe it’s already the start of 2024? This marks 4 fantastic years of weekly conversations I've had with incredibly inspiring people who are proof that our second half can be so much more rewarding than our first if we simply listen to our heart and share our wisdom from our lived experiences.

I’m beyond thrilled and grateful to embark on another trip around the sun with you and to kick it off, I’m diving deep into the concept of New Year's resolutions — and why I got bothered enough by a couple of social media posts I saw that I wanted to share my thoughts with you.

Let’s set the record straight: Resolutions aren’t merely wishful thinking; they’re about setting purposeful goals and crafting actionable plans. I want to challenge the negative bias around resolutions by breaking down the key components necessary for effective goal-setting. We’ll talk specificity, the importance of tracking progress, and the magic of...

Episode 385: The Mantra Every Human Should Live By

mindset Dec 29, 2023

In today's episode I share the mantra I've decided to adopt for 2024. It's what I believe every Type A (aka "Busy Doer") needs to repeat daily to shift out of the ever-growing, mindless, and often unfulfilling, tasks to a shorter, more passion-based To Do list. But it's a mantra that isn't only for Type As because if you lived by it, you would be a happier human.

You may be wondering why I came up with a mantra vs. a word and I explain this in the episode, but in a nutshell, it was a download from the universe that I believe was sent because I had fallen into my old, bad, Type A habits.

My habit of "busy doing" resulted in less sleep, reduced exercise, unhealthy choices, disconnected relationships, heightened stress, and a perpetual feeling of not having enough time. If you're someone who tends to overwork, I'm sure you can relate and you really need to listen to this episode and take time to do the exercise I share in it!

In this episode I also talk about 3 key areas to...

Do you think life is better or worse for a 65-year-old than it was in 1958? And have you ever seen statistics to back up that opinion?

Well, I am excited to tell you that I came across a fascinating article I just had to share with you, and that's what this week's episode is all about. I'm sharing real data that shows how life today is different from our grandparents.

Want to know who is turning 65 this year? (WHAT?! How is that possible?)

Would you like to know how our spirituality, beliefs about personal rights, and trust in government has shifted? (This probably won't be a surprise to you...)

How about what we died of then compared to today? (This one is interesting!)
