Episode 348: Why It’s Better To Not Know

mindset Jul 28, 2023

We all want certainty! We are human. Certainty gives us comfort. Uncertainty is scary because it's outside of our comfort zone!

But if you want to live the most magical life, you have to take chances and plod into a world of being ok with not knowing a particular outcome.

And that is what this episode is all about!

I share examples of things that happened in my life that I most likely would not have done had I known the outcome and why I am so glad I didn't know and did them anyway.

I also share a funny story from my college days and something a roommate did that ensured she knew a particular outcome and how I tried it and it totally backfired. And I tell you what knowing an outcome will "steal" from you.

Maybe, after listening to this episode, you'll become aware of an action or a goal you've been stalling on because you're afraid you won't get the outcome you desire... and maybe, you'll be inspired to take the plunge anyway, trusting that you'll end up with an outcome that's even...

Episode 346: What Your Procrastination Really Means

mindset Jul 21, 2023

Do you procrastinate? Or worse, do you identify as a Procrastinator?

If that's you, I'm here to tell you, you are NORMAL! We all procrastinate!!! So stop making it part of your identity and start being aware of when and what things you are procrastinating.

The problem is that we walk around unconscious most of the time. Our eyes are open but our mind is running on autopilot. And when this autopilot senses danger, a fear lurking deep inside, you will avoid it like the plague. That is just human nature. A form of self protection that is innate in all of us.

I do it too and I have the perfect example of something HUGE I was procrastinating on and guess what, it's something I REALLY WANTED! In fact, it's been on my vision board for 4+ years. But I was avoiding taking any action on it!!!

Fortunately I've now taken action, but recently I realized I'd been avoiding taking any steps on it because I was AFRAID. I was procrastinating one of my big dreams! Isn't that crazy?!

So I decided to...

Episode 344: Is Your Voice Turning People On or Off?

Uncategorized Jul 14, 2023

Did you know that within 7 seconds of hearing you talk, the person's subconscious who is listening to you decides whether to tune you out or lean in to hear more?! Pretty remarkable, eh?

This and so much more is what I've been learning over the past 10 weeks from a voice coaching program I'm taking. It's such high-value training that everyone would benefit from, but most will never receive.

We all talk. We all use our voice to communicate a message in some way. But we have no idea the people we are talking to are judging us subconsciously based more on HOW we are USING our words vs. WHAT the words are.

This means your limiting beliefs and whatever basic human need you are seeking most is evident in the way you USE YOUR VOICE!!!

It's pretty incredible when you have a voice savant notice something very subtle in the way you said a sentence that you had no idea was an issue!!! The clues are everywhere!

Listen in as I share 4 voice mistakes I've been making that indicate my...

Episode 342: What’s Really Going On When You Overthink

mindset Jul 07, 2023

Today's episode was inspired by a question one of my students asked me this past week and the feedback I gave her because what she is experiencing is very common and may help you.

She struggles with overthinking so if you are guilty of this too, then listen up, because what I told her gave her a much greater understanding of why she does this as well as how to stop this unnecessary and unhelpful behavior the next time she catches herself doing it.

Before I gave her feedback, I asked her questions to get more specific information about what it is she overthinks about and the circumstances and her behavior around the overthinking. The more specific you get, the clearer the problem becomes.

By the way, you can do this with yourself. Questions lead to answers, even if the answers don't come in the immediate moment, your brain will continue to look for them and provide you with insight if you are patient.

In her case, her overthinking, which is the cause of most overthinking, was...

Episode 340: The Ridiculously Easy Way to Uncover Your Hidden Desires

mindset Jun 30, 2023

In this episode, I share an incredibly easy way to uncover your hidden desires, which, in case you didn't know, will reveal your BIG DREAMS!

So if you are someone, like the old me, who thinks you don't dream, quit fooling yourself because telling yourself you don't have any dreams, is the same thing as saying you don't have any desires.

The truth is: All humans have desires. You can't be human if you have no desires. If you don't have desires, you are a robot.

In this episode, I talk about:

  • the reason most of us don't dream big dreams
  • why visualizing your dreams is key
  • how to find proof you've dreamed big before using examples from my own life
  • how you can find clues about the dreams still locked inside of you

Don't be afraid to uncover those deep desires and take action on them. Don't let your dreams remain locked in your subconscious - the place you keep shoving them back to when they periodically bubble up to the surface, trying to get your attention.

Keeping them hidden...
